Key takeaways
Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort leads the Riviera Nayarit coast. Its 30-seat wood-fire kitchen, Copal, has no set menu, and the rate covers every meal and premium wines and spirits. Naviva joined 50 Best Discovery in 2026.
Two MICHELIN-starred restaurants come with an all-inclusive rate: Cocina de Autor at Grand Velas Riviera Maya and Cocina de Autor at Grand Velas Los Cabos, with one star each in the 2026 MICHELIN Guide Mexico.
The MICHELIN Guide doesn't cover Nayarit, so Pacific-coast resorts there are judged on chefs, AAA ratings and independent lists instead.
Cancún has no MICHELIN-starred restaurant, so its best food-led all-inclusives stand out on AAA Five Diamond ratings.
Check what the rate covers. At some resorts the headline restaurant costs extra or has a minimum age.
Mexico's best all-inclusive resorts for food
At Mexico's top all-inclusives, the rate often covers chef-led kitchens, tasting menus and serious wine lists, and two MICHELIN-starred restaurants are part of an all-inclusive rate.
Where you go decides which credentials apply. The MICHELIN Guide Mexico, first published in 2024, covers Quintana Roo (Cancún and the Riviera Maya) and Baja California Sur (Los Cabos). Its 2026 edition added Jalisco, which includes Puerto Vallarta, but it doesn't cover Nayarit, where the Riviera Nayarit resorts sit. AAA's Diamond ratings cover all four coasts.
The eight resorts below are grouped by coast and chosen on three things: independent food recognition, how much of the dining the rate actually covers, and the range and quality of the restaurants on site.

Best all-inclusives for food on the Riviera Nayarit
The Riviera Nayarit is the Pacific coast north of Puerto Vallarta, starting at Nuevo Vallarta, about 20 minutes from the airport, and running out to the Punta Mita peninsula, about 45 minutes away, and beyond.
1. Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort
Naviva, A Four Seasons Resort is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort of 15 tented bungalows on 48 acres of forest on the Punta Mita peninsula, with no more than 30 guests at a time. It opened in December 2022, joined 50 Best Discovery in 2026, and is on Condé Nast Traveler's 2026 Gold List.
The cooking centers on Copal Cocina de Leña, a 30-seat restaurant. There's no set menu: dishes are cooked over a wood fire to each guest's preferences. Meals move around the property too, with picnics in the forest, lunches on La Solana beach and dinners in the garden, and 24-hour dining in the tents.
Food is part of the activities as well. Guests can roast coffee, grind salsa in a molcajete, and taste wine with local experts. The rate covers all food and drink, including premium wines and spirits, plus a 90-minute spa journey and select experiences.
Best for: Couples who want a small, chef-led all-inclusive where the menu is built around them.
What the rate covers: All meals and drinks, including premium wines and spirits, in-tent dining, a 90-minute spa journey and select experiences.

How to choose an all-inclusive for the food
Read what the plan covers. At some resorts the signature restaurant, the premium wine list or the tasting menu costs extra. Ask before you book.
Check age limits on restaurants. The starred kitchens at the Grand Velas resorts admit guests from 12 in the Riviera Maya and from 18 in Los Cabos.
Match the credential to the coast. Of the four coasts here, only Quintana Roo and Baja California Sur have MICHELIN-starred restaurants. On the Riviera Nayarit, look at the chef, the format and independent lists.
Think about size. A 15-tent resort can cook to order for every guest. A resort with several hundred suites gives you more restaurants to rotate through.
